MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries

Good Update of an Old Classic

I have played every mech game (except 4, and including the SNES version). Managing your company within different zones is actually pretty cool, (although annoying as someone who likes to minimize travel time!) to have to travel between differnt zones. More realistic and adds to the difficulty. Looking forward to Clans!

BATTLETECH

Tactical gaming at it's fineist

Having been a fan of the Battletech universe since the original Mechwarrior, this game is very attractive. You get to manage a career for your company from finances to mechwarriors to the loadout of your mechs. But the fun is in the tactical combat. You select your mechs based on the type of mission and then navigate the terrain to your advantage. Some missions are harder than others (looking at you defend base!), but that is why the tactics are different for each mission. Highly recommend. And while the game is a bit older, that just means it runs smooth as butter for our newer rigs!

FEZ

Works fine, great puzzle game.

Look at the dates of the posts that say this game is broken. It was fixed and works fine. Got my kids playing this one as well, but don't let that fool you. There is plenty here for the adults as well. The puzzles range from simple to (and I am paraphrasing from part of a walk-through video) 'the community got together and started randomly inputting different combinations' hard. Bottom line, this puzzler is what a puzzler should be: challenging. The only problem is that to me, everything you need to solve the puzzles should be in the game, albeit in a format that makes it challenging. I don't want to scare people away, this is a great game and a joy to play. Anyone can play it and enjoy it. I just think that some of the puzzles are a bit much. But thanks to a great community of gamers, you can reach 100% completion. But for your own satisfaction, do as much as you can on your own. Once you are good and truly stumped, then find a walk-through and get those last few puzzles completed.
