Rayman raving rabbids is one of these games I grew up with on the PS2. The rabbids are actually the video game equivalent of the Minions (despicable me), very childish or absurd humour that you either love or hate. I personnaly really like it even tho nowadays it doesn't make me poop my pants of laughter, just smile from time to time. Alot of people seem to complain about the controls, I played with an Xbox one controller (full compatibility, just plug and play) and had no issue at all, most the games are rythm or reflex oriented, I completed 100 % of the story with it and the few games that gave me trouble were moreso Puzzle or Logic related. There are very fun On rail shooter moments or games that require you to aim with the joystick but it never felt difficult or not optimal, I have not tried the Wii version but i think that the controller may even be better to get these very high scores in some minigames. Hower some games require fast joystick wiggling (up and down or in circular motion) which may be unoptimal for young children or certain people. Sadly I cannot talk about the mouse and keyboard controls as I have not tried them. Peformance is just sick, the game can run a resolution up to 1920x1080 @ 240hz, the only issue was the cutscenes. At the start and end of the Story mode you get FMV cutscenes however mine didn't even start at the beginning so I had o look it up, and in the end it didn't show aswell. Its not like these cutscenes are vital but I like to have a little introduction and conclusion even tho they look really bad due to their resolution. One thing I also feel like mentionnigng is the soundtrack, the funniest part for me. From stereotypical Supermarket Music to a version of Jingle bells performed by a rabbid, it just highly amused me overall. Recuring dance minigames also feature light parodies of popular songs like "Girls just wanna have fun". Not sure how it holds up without a bit of nostalgia but for me it has been a blast !
