Poor in-game instructions/guides

Under the hood the coding/formulas/mechanics that make the game function may well be fine, but the tutorials seem bare-bones and after reaching a level of the tutorial entitled "Cambria from Scratch" (or words to that affect) the instructions, tool-tips stopped entirely. Started that chapter of the tutorial, and was presented with a vivaarium and told to make 4-5 creatures: a slug, scorpion, fish, horseshoe crab, etc. -- with zero hints/how-to about how it was to be accomplished. I have over 20-hours in the game now, and my impression/opinion of it is that it is an unfinished proto-type/demo. I got it on sale at 90%-off, so the game cost me less than $2-USD, so nothing really lost other than the time spent trying to figure it out.

Train Fever

Constant crashing to desktop

Old game – when able to play it is enjoyable, if you like this style of game: designing transportation system/infrastructure to move resources to factories to produce goods to supply cities/populations. Looks simple on the surface, but difficult to grasp how the game's mechanics actually function. Save every few minutes because the game crashes to desktop randomly every 25 – 45 minutes, no matter how I have adjusted options/settings. The crashing to desktop is widespread complaint for the game, and none of the 'fixes' found from searching the internet have made any difference in my case – has been crashing to desktop constantly on two different computers, so I give it only 2/5 stars

Cyberpunk 2077

Good game if you like this type

The game has extremely impressive graphics, and looks amazing if you have a computer able to run it at high settings. The game will work on weaker systems but you won't see the graphics in the way developers designed them...but the look of the game doesn't affect game-play. I have not encountered any bugs or problems running the game. In my opinion this game is designed for people who enjoy crime/drugs and unnecessary violence just for violence's sake. They would enjoy doing things (in-game) like jumping into a vehicle and speeding down streets/roads and running people over just to see body parts flying off...same with fighting in-game: blasting legs/arms off of NPC's just for laughs. The story, quality of writing of dialog, etc. are not important to the players who want a game where they can see nudity and blow things up and shoot parts off of bodies...if you're that type of person then you will like this game and I recommend buying it. I did not enjoy the constant gang violence, drug/alcohol abuse, and the game's attempt to glorify such a life-style, hence my 3-star rating.

The Technomancer

Won't run on multi-thread (newer) PC

Bought new computer: RTX 5060 Ti (16GB Vram) i7-14700f 32GB System RAM Windows 11 Pro Game won't even start now (played fine for nearly two years on old outdated computer)...searched for information on internet and found dozens of threads dicussing how the game will not run on a newer computer running "too many cores". Work-arounds involve going into bios and changing settings -- so, no not happening. I enjoyed playing the game and looked forward to being able to play with better computer (hoping it would look better, etc.) but now cannot even launch the game.

Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition

Excellany DnD video game

Good game which does a really good job of recreating the table-top feel of DnD...it's a video game, so of course it's not the same but well worth playing.

Solasta: Crown of the Magister

Great D&D game

Very enjoyable turn-based game. Character creation is very in-depth and detailed, in regards to skills, abilities, etc. If you're a D&D fan you will like this game.

Great game

In-depth details, such as NPC's constructing buildings -- things do not just magically poof into existance, but rather the workers are seen carrying lumber, bricks, etc., and actually building things. Mechanics are similar to other games of this type: provide housing for villagers, along with infrastucture (church, tavern, schools, etc.) and food, water, clothing. Produce items to trade with NPC cities via land connections or water (boats). Some things in this game, which I like, and haven't seen in other games of this type: a shop needs to be built which repairs the carts and wagons used by villagers -- the carts and wagons wear-out over time and need to be repaired. Bigger wagons which are pulled by draft animals require animals which are bred/raised by villagers. Fishing is done via boats, which have to be built...these, and others, do not just magically poof into existance when you build a fishing dock, but have to be built and maintained which requires resources. The extra layers of depth provided by needing to build carts, fishing boats, wagons, etc., as well as shops to maintain them, make this game much more immersive and I highly recommend this game. Graphics are really good...great detail when you zoom in to watch villagers at their tasks.
