If you like Fire Emblem this will be a good way to spend 30-40h. However if you've played recent entries like Three house or Engage, you should temper your expectation on the UI and menuing. The character design is good and the sprite are excellents ! But there's too many of them and you only need 14. It's also impossible to unlock all of the optionnal dialogue since there is no paralog/side quest. The writing is hit or miss, there are some good line here and there, but the scenario is a very stereotypical highfantasy story that lacks a bit of gut or personality, it's not bad and it move the plot along. The variety of classes and weapon is where the game shines. With many paths for each starting class you and every class having an active ability you'll have plenty of fun leveling your team into monsters that decimate the battlefield and bask into the glory of the pixel animation. Map Design is also quite good, you have it all, defense map, Boss raid, small corridor, big open-field, Maze-like. I was quite please with the different amount of things the devs though about. The music is servicable but you won't remember any theme as being really epic which is unfortunate. All in all, this is a game i can recommend if you really like SRPG. You'll have to pardon some bug (invisible cavalier) a cheap looking UI and a menuing that need some rework but the fundamentals are here and the game is fun.
(7h hours played at this moment) If you're the kind of player who enjoy game like slay the spire and into the breach this one is for you. The game is snappy, the combos are fast the challenge is there and rewarding and replayability seems good, also a lot of mechanically unique character. It's a good roguelite.
