This is old and it feels old and plays old but it's a classic none the less. It's kind of nice because it makes you use your imagination and it's a good sense of nostalgia for me. UI is really bad but you can get used to it.
I played the shareware version long ago but using a keyboard does not do this justice! Even with a gamepad of the time there's no option to bind the crucial look up/down keys to a joystick forcing you to use the keyboard. Luckily with programs like joytokey you can bind all keyboard commands to your controller and once you do that there's no need to touch the keyboard at all. The game is WAY more fun with good gamepad it's like playing it the way it was meant to be played and the game shines.
