A very enjoyable platformer that you can blast through the screens! KEKW Being able to Jedi sword swing/deflect the bullets is fricking awesome! A floating Head's Gameplay: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qp_I6W-TxhU There are secret areas to! So enjoy exploring everything to find then hidden chests and interactions! I agree with others that the map ability should be given sooner but I was able to make my way deep enough in the initial playthrough to get the map before having to stop playing for the day. This game feels a lot like Hollow Knight except that you can move faster and the Kunai add a different type of movement. It's a really cool game and I strongly suggest you give it a try if you love Metroidvania games, like finding hidden areas, getting new abilities, upgrades and boss battles!
A platforming puzzle game with witty and dark humor! A floating Head's gameplay: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ixIkWlq8Ls8 I really appreciated the in-game references (TMNT) and the toxic humor "Aren't you a special snowflake" KEKW I would recommend if ya like puzzle-platformers that escalate in difficulty till the end and a snarky story!
This game has massive potential. If you need to cure that Zelda itch then this game may scratch that, but it may have game aspects you are not familiar with. Gameplay & quick-dive into the world of Pine: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Tc29cEDlHQ Your human tribe needs to find a new home in a world newly discovered by your species. This world is ruled by animal tribes you must fall in line within its circle of life. Although the trading and political aspect of the game may not appeal to many it's not overly complicated. You give a certain species tribe stuff you have collected and they like you more. It just doesn't seem to appeal to many of the adventure games players and that, unfortunately, includes myself. It does leave you tons of options on how to play the story. So if you like to explore all aspects of how to go about your journey. This would be a game for you! The crafting is simple enough and gathering is straight-forward. The combat requires more tact and timing rather than just hack and slash. Also knowing when not to fight and when running may save yourself a headache. With all this said I didn't experience any technical issues with the game. It ran smoothly without error. I would recommend the game for a player that likes adventure games like Zelda and also likes to explore the numerous ways you could about completing the journey.
I haven't played a REALLY good 2D platform puzzle game in a long time. This is 2.5D for all things considered. A floating Head's gameplay: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wflj65wA1Z8 The beautiful world that transitions in the background after you complete a puzzle is very refreshing. The music is good as well reminds me of the type of music you would hear in a Pixar movie. The game is fantastic. It is worth your time and you will feel rewarded and will want more.
My wife played this one (she is new to games-still terrible at them but having a blast) and I would attempt to help her with puzzle-solving. See our laughter & gameplay: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gXgsiYAzqdg What I love about this game is it just throws you right in. It's really easy to restart if you need to stop you just pick up right where you left off. For a 2D game it can be pretty gruesome and shocking but that plays into the ambiguous storyline that is open to your own interpretation (which I personally love attempting to discover the meaning). The puzzles are not overly complicated, but getting the timing right on some parts of the game will start to challenge you towards the end - but that's to be expected as it's been training the whole time - you'll get it. Totally worth it on sale.
This game caught me by complete surprise and captured my heart like nearly everyone else. I recommend you pay attention to everyone you "listen" to because nearly everything said reveals something or is funny (Zote the Mighty - I love this guy he is hilarious) If you'd like to check out some gameplay & laughs here's a Floating Head's journey through the game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yiMbKnbVh7o&list=PLTC-IAlpSfbp69AaKxHhgNRlthKtzQNlN Exploring the world they created within this game is a wonderful escape. You could easily sink many many hours into the game and still not run out fo things to do or areas to explore. It's a wonderful escape. The story is slow revealing. I got the main bit but from the game itself but had to have a conversation with other players to reveal more details and oh my gosh, this story is pretty deep and legendary. I believe this game is a must-play is you like getting into the story of games and enjoy platformers & boss fights.
This is a beautiful game and definitely worth playing. Sometimes the game requires some skill in intense situation but that is a small percentage of the gameplay. It reminded me of a light version of Prince of Persia minus the fighting. See our laughs & some gameplay: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bHMlrEedliM The story pulls on the heartstrings towards the end. I'd recommend if you're looking for 3D exploration, platforming, puzzle-solving, story-rich.
So my wife played this game (she is new to games) and I did backseat gaming. It was pretty hilarious to watch her get scared and fumble around in the game. See our laughter & gameplay: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IEXJh4narLQ The game is pretty short (2-3 hours) depending on how fast you can find the items you need for certain areas. I'd recommend this game for those wanting to explore games that include 3D exploration, light puzzle-solving, light-horror, platform, story-rich.
This game really caught me and my wife by surprise. We honestly had no idea what it was about going into it. No trailers, no description just started it up and wow. (to be clear: we got it as part of a pack of games) The game is really deep (emotionally) and THE MUSIC, it is outstanding. The gameplay is super simple although my wife struggled and it was entertaining (gameplay of first 2 levels: youtube.com/watch?v=POxRx3WK5X4 Honestly, we enjoyed the game, my wife is a newer gamer and I basically did backseat gaming with her. The story is about death, and grieving and coming to terms with loss. It's emotional and it's so satisfying for anyone in a relationship because we hear the thoughts from the wife's perspective later on and we were again surprised and excited by that. If you like your feelings to be jerked and you like to get deep into a story without alot of hard gameplay you should try this game. Note: The content of this game is probably about 2-4 hours long. So it is a short game, in my opinion, but still profound.
