This game is crazy! I love the Warhammer 40K universe and this game definitely is the best I've seen in a long time. The learning curve is a tad bit rough, it doesn't hold your hand and you have to figure stuff out for yourself but once you get the hang of things it is a fast paced crazy a** game. The levels are gorgeous and very different from each other with plenty of areas to explore. The kill animations are crazy and over the top. Aside from the campaign there are plenty of side bounty missions for various factions that are very rewarding and action packed with different objectives. I've read several stories that take place in Necromunda and this game really has that feel. As a bonus you also get to fight some Zenos and those "touched" by the Warp.
The game has tons of content for ARPG lovers. Many varied factions, gear sets and multiple beautiful environments. It keeps me coming back time after time. It refines what I loved about Titan Quest, Diablo I,II,III and Sacred I and 2. The best part about it is no internet required to log in and play. The spell effects and animations are done very well and I really love the art stlye. It has become my favorite ARPG with Sacred 2 Gold w/community patch a close second. So many different class choices keep replayability high.
I see all the terrible reviews and shake my head. This game plays great, love the graphics, they hold up very well. I didn't look for it to change my life but as a hack and slash fantasy looter it plays very well. The world is very large and has varied environments. The sound and music are top notch. I used to hold stock in reviews but that is getting harder and harder. You casn pick this game up for next to nothing. Give it a shot and decide for yourself!
This game looks and feels great. I didn't have any mods so no crashes. Vehicle combat and stepped up police are great. I actually like the new crafting and perks system. Iconic weapons are more important now and have a more invested feel to them as you upgrade. I like not having to search for a certain ripper doc to get my cyberware. Mskes more sense that they would be city wide supplied. Haven't made it to the expansion yet, running a fresh playthrough to get accustomed to the new perks system. Having enemise level with you means no more junk drops which is a major plus. Big shout out to the Scavs for jumping into the fight with police, allowed me to get away and come back to pop you all from behind lol.
The best space combat sim since Wing Commander. The game does a great job creating a desperate struggle for survival in the cold blackness of space, it truly pulls you in an will have you ducking and in front of your computer. Best of all, are the mods. An updated graphics mod makes this game shine and the the Battlestar Galactica and Wing Commander Prologue conversions are great. The best of the bunch is The Bablyon Project Mod with so many campaigns and missions you'll play for days.
