the point is easy: being hard is nice, to face difficulties is nice. To see your entire party wiped out only by chance, isn't nice at all. In the end CC just confirmed the bad trend of the core game for the ending phase: instead of building real challenges, developers only put random killer variables, like, everyturn there is a chance of 25% to lose the party, with no relation at all to what you do or you don't. Easy missions become hard only for bad luck, and impossible missions done in a few clicks, because you are lucky. this isn't fun at all, nice job to ruin a game indeed!
