I got Total Annihilation a very long time ago, and it's been my top RTS since. Not a single RTS game I feel has matched it's ability to capture my attention since it launched in 97, some come close but never match it. With amazing expandability for new units, maps, and AI profiles, makes it quite a lasting game. While the engine has some limitations in unique unit count and army size, the game always leaves you wanting another match. With a few small segments of the community still intact, it is one of the longest running games in history (Rightfully so.) despite no dev support due to shutdown of Cavedog. You will not be disappointed. But be mindful, this game is about a war, not a squad. I believe this to be in the top 5 games of all time, and easily the top RTS. Chris Taylors best work, and worthy of spotlight in PC gaming's history.
