This game is good. Travel back & forth between checkpoints make it feel more like an open world although it's linear. Graphics are excellent. They did a really good job making Lara Croft visually fantastic. Takes a good while for you to collect all items and coins if you strive for 100%. I just wished it had more content although you get pretty good gameplay for the price and will keep you entertained for hours on end. This is my favorite Tomb Raider since Underworld. Puzzles are well done and the stealth adds a nice element of gameplay to it. I have it for Epic Store and Windows Store however I always prefer the GoG Version.
I'm not a big fan of building games but this game is very good. Not only it has good graphics but excellent replayability. Insane mode can be very challenging but worth the achievement when you complete your objectives. I just wished it had more maps and challenges otherwise overall great game.
I'm not a big fan of platformers but this game is one of the most creative and bizarrely unique gameplay of mechanics I ever experienced. The graphics are simple yet beautiful. The story is told without any dialogue. I wasn't sure what I was getting into but I'm glad this game was worth it. Without divulging too much you just got to play it for yourself to see how unique it is.
After seeing the previews for this game I was somewhat impressed. The visuals looked very nice and the world seemed to be beautifully crafted. I thought for a game with stunning visuals for $29.99 why not. Let's give it a shot. I was thoroughly impressed with the gameplay. The use of mechanics derived from people with psychosis to implement into the game was a very unique idea. I thought a lot of the puzzles were well thought out and at times brilliant. The game also added elements of inter-dimensional traveling which makes it even more interesting. Although short I'm glad I bought this game. It was well worth it to support this new developer. They really delivered and I hope they continue to innovate new IP in the future.
GoG can't give everything away. Sometimes they have to work out deals with the Publisher to give us whatever goodies they can. I produce my own music so I understand that the only person that may be getting the shaft is the composer. $1.29 for a full soundtrack is an AWESOME deal especially how good it was produced. One mp3 sells for $0.99 most places so you're getting value for your money. Frozenbyte is a good developer so I don't mind tossing my money at them. But I hope that they have compensated their composer well. You know that they practically gave away Trine I and Trine II with all the sales that GoG has. The developer deserves some other monetary way to keep their studio funded or at least to compensate their composers.
It's been over 20 years since I ever made a major purchase on video games. Simple answer is since the introduction of Steam and various other intrusive DRM implementation just killed gaming for me. I just simply wanted to play my game in peace. If ANYONE that have saved gaming IT'S GOG. I avoided purchasing any AAA Title simply I couldn't stand the DRM and I don't regret it one bit. I can finally play a brand new AAA Title in peace without annoying connection requirements. GoG delivers a great game that is also made with passionate people. This game is gorgeous when I first fired it up. I encourage everyone to support GoG and their CD Projekt affiliate by purchasing The Witcher 3. I'm a GOG fan for life as long as they hold true to their values..
Those that gave this game a low rating it's rightfully justified because they are expecting more. I knew when purchasing this game what to expect. For a game made by ONE guy it's very good. It uses the Unity Engine and the models are descent. The textures and world you explore are beautiful. If you're expecting a game like Halo / Destiny shoot em up action type you will be sorely disappointed. This game is all about story and exploration. It has an interesting storyline to keep you engage. The voice acting is better than alot of AAA titles I've experience. The puzzles aren't difficult so you won't feel stuck in an area. Credit should be given where due. Beautiful world to explore and I love space science fiction. Story gets interesting as you get further into the game. The music is also very beautiful. Love the music piece called Endure. Just give this game a change made by ONE guy but don't expect too much. I personally enjoyed it for what it is.
At first this game appeared really complicated but after watching several playthroughs on Youtube it was easy to figure. There is no hand holding in this game. It's up to you to decide how you want to tackle each puzzle. There are numerous different ways to solve each puzzle. Some so hard it's kept me up all night but very rewarding when you finally figure out how to solve it. If you're up for the challenge this is indeed a very fun puzzle game. It will really work your brain over. :)
