A quite fun physics based sandbox game. You build machines to knock stuff to the ground, kill people, move to specific points and other similar missions. Graphics are also very nice with pretty explosions. Interface is quite good and it's easy to get going building crazy stuff. Beware! Now for the bad. I bought this game in early 2015 and to be honest, not much have changed in the past two years. Most of the campaign is still missing and with steam workshop not available here I can't recommend to put money into this yet. Development is really really slow. Even worse than Wreckfest. As if the developer only wants money and don't want to do anything for it. If you buy this, be prepared that you might never get the full game.
To get straight to the point, Hybrid wars is just not very fun. Missions are boring and the few gameplay mechanics that are there gets tiresome really fast. The game itself could use a lot more polish. There is also a severe lack of any type of graphics options except for a "low,medium,high" setting. No anti-aliasing for you unless you force it in your driver settings. Save yourself some money and time and get Renegade Ops instead.
I was curious to see what the new 3D Realms was going to cook up. Sadly I was dissapointed. Mediocre is a word that sums up this game perfectly. Combat is bland. Camera angles are hit and miss. Voice acting is terrible, Character get stuck in the scenery.. and so on and so on. A patch or two could probably fix a few of these problems but for now, wait for a 60% sale and buy it then. Just not worth the full price.
Transport Tycoon Deluxe is still the King. Save yourself som money and get OpenTTD instead.
... ever made. Oh, the countless hours of pure joy I have spent with this game. Plenty of mods available to make it even more awsome than it already is (get customcar and the singleraceoptions mods). 50 lap Crash Alley anyone? :)
Don't buy this game if you are expecting an old school' point and click adventure game challenge. You wont find it here. Puzzles are ridiculously simple.
