Hollow Knight: Silksong

A fantastic sequel

Silksong had big shoes to fill, needless to say that, but Team Cherry absolutely delivered! After completing 100% of the game and well over 100 hours in, I can say that Hollow Knight: Silksong is a brilliant game, one of the best I’ve ever played. It certainly isn’t perfect, but I don’t think it’s too unbalanced, unfair and hard like many say either. The contact damage hitting for two masks is the only thing I’d change, but I can see a reason for it to be the way it is. For the rest, I think the game is very fair. It has flaws, I don’t like bosses that spam ads for example, I think that’s an artificial way to bring up the difficulty and challenge of the game, but there weren’t many encounters where I felt like that was a real issue. There are maybe too much trap / battle rooms. But those flaws didn’t bring down the experience for me at all, it was still a blast to go through. I enjoyed every second of it and was sad when it was over, even having spent 90 hours in the game at that point. The world is incredible, I loved getting lost and finding secrets, new characters while exploring it. The combat is fantastic and satisfying, the soundtrack is amazing. Silksong easily became one of my favorite games of all time, it’s in my top 10, and I can’t wait for more content. If you like challenging games go play it, it has so much to offer, and if you end up hitting a wall during your journey, go explore the world and get some upgrades, get stronger and more familiar with the game, then come back. It’s not for everyone, and the difficulty is there, however, it’s not a game that doesn’t want you to succeed, you will be challenged, but with enough determination, victory will be achieved.

Resident Evil

Absolute classic

Even if the remake has made the 1996 game (kind of) obsolete to some, the original RE1 still has its own charm and is worth experiencing. It goes neck and neck with RE3 for my favorite in the original trilogy.

Resident Evil 2

A masterpiece

One of the greatest sequels and games of all time. It's still better than the remake in my opinion.

Resident Evil 3

A fantastic third game

Possibly the best out of the original trilogy, Jill is my favorite, love Nemesis, and Raccoon City. A certified timeless classic.
