Man, did I enjoy the game during the first chapter: Finally a successor to Baldurs Gate! It has everything a good role-playing game has to have: Hard fights, good loot, well-written characters, an interesting story. But then, when the first chapter ends: BAM! From one second to the next you are torn out of your role-playing atmosphere and without warning inevitably thrown into a pure ( and insanely difficult ) strategy game. The mechanics are badly explained ingame, you have no clue what to do and when you make one wrong decision, your kingdom is going into a downward spiral until the "Game over" screen appears. Lots of players across the forums have the same problems and are nearly helpless. Honestly, I want to play a RPG, not strategy. If I aimed at that genre, I could as well directly have played Settlers or Tropico. This genre-switching is a big no-go for me. I uninstalled the game after several attemps to understand the enormous amount of incoming events and how to react to them properly. I don´t get it and i`m not alone. If you are into role-playing - beware! This incredible design-decision ruins the game!
