Great character design/ decent writing, compelling mechanics but missing a little depth. I looked forward to the rouge-like aspect of this game, learning new things on ryn-throughs and having fun with synergies but unfortunately I didn't get the chance. I finished first try with no deaths and once I gained the pin that gave you 3 ace cards every single turn no other reward or combo meant anything. Every ace card and money reward was worthless and swapping the other pins didn't alter gameplay much. The powerups range from quality of life shots to game breaking at times and near the end of the game I felt like I was just rolling until mini rocket ball popped up. It's a shame because I love the framework here it's just missing some complexity, balance and depth. What's here is promising though, looking forward to what's next from these devs.
