Hairbrained Schemes hit gold with this one. While the original Shadowrun Returns is an undervalued gem and Hong Kong has the best writing, Dragonfall is the best balance of dialogue, gameplay, and personalities. The location is a facinating part of the setting, and it remains one of the best gateways to date.
This is a fun little game. It's meant to have a narrow and direct scope, along with relatively little grind and easy payoffs. I'm reminded of how a single focused concept can win out over a much more sprawling one, and even the very concept of a post JRPG "We've defeated the big bad, what next?" was well done in its own way. If yo ever played Golden Sun or the early Final Fantasy games and wanted a post game epilogue which concentrated on rebuilding the world, this is well worth your time.
