No matter what your choices in conversations are, main guy will turn out to be a reckless careerist, betraying the love of his life. IDK why either, apparently he was naive enough to think that he goes to Antarctica solely to look at clouds - therefore there was no patriotic sacrifice / consideration of the greater good in his decision, which leaves nothing but sexist/selfish motivations. This sadly allows for the summary of the storyline as follows: betrayer (deservedly) struggles and dies in the cold. Great..
