I fell in love with trails back around CS2. I have since played every game and found each one unique and fascinating. The characters were relatable. The world building was phenomenal. Another great aspect was the FANTASY political intrigue. However, in daybreak the mask came off. I am constantly told how bad white people are and how anyone who wishes to maintain their countries history and traditions is a villain of comical proportions. The most common phrase in this game is "white supremacist". It was horribly annoying. Especially because race was never a thing in trails before. It was always setup as people of different countries. The bashing and constant threats of violence against anyone who thinks differently is staggering. They obviously threw away the FANTASY aspect and tried to implant current Marxist politics in this game. On top of the constant anti-white, pro replacement narrative, the game-play was boring. Trails really hit its peak in reverie for combat. The arts (magic) system sucked because you couldn't have tons of end game spells you wanted. You were locked into whatever spell set they game you, and then you may be able to add 2-3 on to that. Also, the field combat was horrible. It was so repetitive. They stripped so much away from the combat it feels like a different game. I guess that is the whole narrative though. If you don't like the way the things are changing, you're just a crazy bigot.
This is such a unique experience in the RPG genre. The history is real and it isn't showving people in the gamer simply to put them there. The charecter is relatable and the combat is fun. It takes a bit to get used to the combat but is definetly a fun challenge. Kingdom Come Deliverance was a game I wasn't expecting to have me as invested as it did.
This game was wholly disappointing to a long time trails fan. The amount of anti-white propaganda in this game is disgusting. After act 2 every other line is "evil white people" or "white supremacy". On top of that the gameplay is lackluster and the charecters (outside of van) are boring. The RTC system sucks and repetative. The combat system peaked at reverie. I guess the series is all downhill from here, and I certainly won't be supporting it.
