Regardless of how amazing the second and third game are, this one will always be my favourite. It's a little rough around the edges, but the engaging storyline and atmosphere more than make up for its shortcomings.
Not quite as expansive or deep as the Witcher 3 but still one of the best RPGs ever made. Definitely worth going back to if you haven't given it a try. Some of the combat mechanics might put you off initially, especially if you've only played the third one, but stick with it and you'll be rewarded with an engaging story set in a rich and detailed world.
