Gather round younglings and harken to the tellings of an Elder. I was there when Doom guy first shot, when Mario first jumped, when the Avatar first Defeated Mondain. I have seen games series rise to greatness only to crumble to ashes as successive games only cheapen the legacy of their predecessors. Fallout, Dragon Age, Dead Space, Assassin's Creed. KCD the first was spectacular, fresh and new and yet paid homage to the very best of the old. But this, this sequel KCD2 , is a cut above the rest. This will be placed among the great successes of sequels. It surpasses the original in nearly every way. I hope in time KCD series will only get better. Will join the ranks of those that only got better with each new entry. The Witcher, Dark Souls and the other greats Stay Awesome Warhose Studios
I wont waste your time talking about the game - we all know what it is. The real gem here is the baked in enhanced stability on the GOG release. Zero crashes here
A masterful rework of a fantastic and original game series. There is still really nothing like it out there and if you missed these the first time around then you owe it to yourself to give the remastered collection your full attention. Such a shame HW3 was such a letdown
I came here looking to get a fix after playing FTL to death and dam if this game didn't deliver. Dont get me wrong - it's nothing like FTL nor does it have the same level of difficulty or replayability. But if you enjoyed FTL and have been feeling withdrawals then this game will probably do the trick for you.
I went into this expected a rather standard Fallout classic clone, how wrong I was. Deep, rich storytelling and setting couple with detailed and beautiful environments and a set of polish far and above what I expected. This is worth every penny the Dev asks for. Buy it
I never knew this game existed until I heard it being mentioned during the homeworld remaster. It's shame they were unable to remaster it but GoG at least brought us back the original and I thank them for that. If you are coming from the remaster, the lack of camera pan and some of the other features in HWRM are going to be a little missed but other than that this is as good a game as the original HW and a very interesting story campaign. Highly recommended
