FATE: The Complete Adventure

One of the 2 forefathers of TorchLight

The maker of this series (Travis Baldree) and the makers of the Diablo series (Schaefers) came together to make the TorchLight series, and the similarities are obvious: They took the fishing, pet, infinite levels, magic system of this series and added the combat, loot, merchant and level randomization of the Diablo series to make the TorchLight series. The Fate games are excellent and refreshing. Light-hearted, fun, with saturated colours and interesting enemies and mechanics, the series is the beginner's game of introduction to hack n slash RPG genre. It is even suitable for children, as the violence is kept to a minimum. For their price and size (only half a GB) you will get THOUSANDS of hours of gameplay. P.s. as previously mentioned, in order to experience the whole series you need 2 games, traitor soul and cursed king, as traitor soul contains the original date and undiscovered realms, while cursed king is standalone.

Gothic 3

Not as bad as G1&2 fanboys show it to be

Yes, it it worse than 1&2. Yes, it has no heart or direction. But 1 out of 5 stars is pushing it to trolling limits. Fanboys drooling over G1&2 and dissing everything after them (G3, Forsaken Gods, ArcaniA, Risen 1,2,3) by giving them 1 out of 5 stars, is just plain trolling. From the beautiful vistas, to re-spawning enemies and from playable skills to the weapons and armors, G3 corrects many things G1&2 did wrong at the expense of lore, atmosphere and maybe continuation. Whereas G1&2 felt empty after you slaughter everything, G3 is a living breathing world. Whereas G1&2 had a single foresty-germanic environment, G3 has 4 biomes from deserts to snowy mountains. Whereas G1&2 needs 3 playthroughs to experience the 3 classes (mercenary, fighter, mage), G3 goes to implement all 3 classes so you can multirole. Completely playable with the Community Patch, runs smoothly at 1080p at max settings and seeing Myrtana for the first time is exhilarating. Open-endness and scale is on par with Two Worlds games, albeit more detailed.

Wizardry 8

For all those Sseth people flooding in

You're never going to play this game, are you? Because let's face it, few of you won't make this game run natively at 1080p widescreen anyway, others will look at the graphics and uninstall it before leaving the Monastery, some will abandon the game half-way to Marten's Bluff and the rest will not even finish it returning to Skyrim. Pity really, since Wizardry 8 is miles away better than Legend of Grimrock 1+2 both depth-wise and freedom-wise, Might and Magix X legacy is just a disgrace to the blobber genre and the recent Wizardry entries are just anime-heavy trash. I guess none of you have ever heard of the term "blobber" anyway, but Sseth leading people to GOG for a dollar game is a good thing I guess
