Classic game with great interpretation of AD&D rules, it's an old game but still a great one. Is better with the Goldbox companion though in my opinion.

Great game for it's age I still love it.

I'm a big fan of D&D and similar styled CRPGs, playing them all the way back to Pool of Radiance and Might and Magic, or WIzardry or other games like these. The original Baldur's Gate had great mechanics and story but the Realtime with Pause combat always held it back for me as I prefer turn based. BG3 fixes this issue and keeps the great story. While I will say a game like Solasta has better combat, no other games I've played have the reactivity and excellent storytelling like BG3. I am a hundred hours in and love it so far.

I've been playing Pathfinder since it came out, I love how they have adapted the written Pathfinder rules to make the game and they made what I think are the best choices to streamline the gameplay. The Kingdom Building takes effort to get used to it but it actually works quite well especially with the more recent updates. The most exciting part for me is the new turn based mode, it is much slower than real time with pause but it works great and solves a lot of the issues that the combat had before. It's really a great game.
