There seems to be a trend among horror games to artifically ramp up the difficulty and fear factor by implementing poor controls and camera angles. The Evil within definitely falls into this camp. It just ends up being more frustrating than fun. The game also suffers from other problems. A poor checkpoint save system, uninteresting enemies, bland characters, and a convoluted story that isn't worth the effort it takes to unravel from deciphering enigmatic notes left laying around. Save yourself the hassle and watch a Let's Play or something if you really need to know the story. I don't recommend this game.
