I have had this game on Steam since it launched. A few years back, it stopped working on Windows 10, same issue on two separate systems I have, a desktop and a gaming laptop.. I have searched and searched the web for a fix for this "Bug Splat" error, finding many suffer from the exact same issue, the game crashing immediately at launch giving a "Bug Splat" error with no way to fix it. I tried every suggestion I could find, and nothing has worked. I even contacted Relic support, who simply told me the game wasn't written for Windows 10, so if it works great, if it doesn't there's nothing that can be done, as they will not be updating the game any longer moving forward. The odd thing is, after this comment from Relic, the price of the game on Steam increased back to the standard price of a brand new released game, with a new name "Anniversary Edition", but literally nothing changed in the code, and the exact same error plagues the game still. I was excited when I saw that the game was going to launch on GOG, figuring that surely they would make sure it worked, and not release the same broken version Steam has, so I paid the $10, which seemed worth it to be able to play the game again. NOPE! As soon as I launched the game BUG SPLAT!!! So, I am refunding, since I literally dont have 1 minute of time logged in playing it. One side note of interesting good news, this game functions perfectly on the Steam Deck, so if you get the Bug Splat error in Windows, and happen to own a Steam Deck, you can still play the game.

Such a great collection, ruined, IMO, by their decision to make Baseball Stars a lifetime exclusive to the Xbox. If they would have included that one game into this otherwise stellar collection, or even made it a timed exclusive, I would have literally purchased the collection on every system it is available on. Needless to say, I only have it on the Xbox, sadly. If Baseball Stars is not important to you, then this is a great collection of fantastic games.

I have a massive collection of strategy games, that I only began aquiring since 2016. I guess I am a late bloomer, but I had ignored the strategy genre my entire gaming life, which goes back to the beginning of gaming in the 70's, and man do I ever regret that. I have such a massive backlog now, as a result of my having found the strategy genre at such a late stage, that I only recently began playing this particular game. Better late than never, is what I say. I had read countless times how great this game is, and when I began trying to play it, I found that the game would not launch on my system, which eventually we found it was due to my CPU having too many cores. Anyhow, I finally got it working and dove in. While I am still in the process of playing it, I will say this, it is, IMO, the greatest strategy game I have ever played. That would include both turn-based and real-time games. This game is simply perfect in just about every way. Graphics - check, awesome story - check, fantastic gameplay - check. This game is the perfect blend of all of those things, and my hopes have now become that Massive will one day, find it in themselves to set the Division aside for a moment, and give us a proper follow up. Hey, a guy can dream, can't he? So, back to this game,, I just wanted to make my thoughts known, so that I might steer just a few more people, who might be sitting on the fence at this late stage, to purchase this masterpiece. A lot of devs out there should play this game, and take some notes, for sure.
