I really enjoyed playing "The Cat Lady" and was curious to learn more about the story of Sam and Ivy Davis. So I bought "Downfall". The background graphics - mostly low resolution pencil sketches - could at least be viewed as fancy. But the story goes from nightmare into sick crap. While "The Cat Lady" succeeds in being creepy and then again hilarious, there is nothing funny about Downfall, only gore, gore and more gore. After finishing this game, I wish I had never played it. So I give two stars for the author's courage to publish such a game; and one star goes off for GOG not warning me that this game is SURELY not suitable for people with a stomach and a heart.
Selten habe ich ein so einfallsreich-vielfältiges Adventure mit einer so eindringlichen Atmosphäre erlebt wie The Cat Lady. Leider ist die deutsche Übersetzung mit Fehlern gespickt, stellenweise werden sogar die falschen Audio-Files abgespielt. Ich bin trotzdem begeistert.
