This was my first SHMUp and it was an absolute blast to play. After hitting the first updates release wall, it was around 10 hours into the game this was after doing every single available quest on every available node on the map. The tactile battle grid system is very easy to get used to but the system definitely needs to be fleshed out more. The good: Voice acting Animations The Captain Character designs SHMUp is really polished The game’s lore and access to character backstories The bad: Limited story progression for now Limited 18+ content for now Demi is stuck on the ship (hopefully for now) The grid battle system needs more depth It has a lot of potential and some of the dev notes detailing what they plan to add is super exciting. Not really holding my breath like others are but for the 10 hours I got from the game, not including the extra content (definitely needs more content there as well), im happy that I backed the project. Despite the porn aspect of the game being limited for right now, the shmup portion of the game feels super polished. That being said, we need more Demi content. For those unaware, the reviews bombing the game because they suspect that backer funds were used for the development of fowcoin should probably join the studio fow discord and check the pinned notes. There’s an entirely different team working on the development of fowcoin and the devs are working on the game in a reduced capacity, likely still due to COVID.
