Try again... game needs downgrading, F this.
Let me start with that i bought this game day one at full price and after the few lackluster updates it got, it is still at the point of after playing the stories there is no replayability, As after a few updates and 2 stories with a so called sandbox added into the short game it is just really repetative and no fun at all after around an hour. The devs was mainly focused on steam community forums and asked for updates but that became abandoned once they got the official soundtrack on sale. I have asked the devs previously on twitter various questions about updates and features and they go un-answered and then I tried something out... I said the soundtrack was awesome and got an instant like and retweet so it shows they just dont care if you wish to give it a go, i would hold off until its 90% off.
It is a short Demo and what i assume is just the tutorial of the full game, I only gave a 3 star due to a minor and what i believe is a major issue that i hope will be not in the full release but i think they will since we are so close to release... 1st the minor, cursor stays on screen during cutscenes, 2nd: the major, i play with studio headphones and the audio of the game is good except for the voices of the characters (mainly the aliens) are too mono and have not been re-recorded and/or mixed which is off putting.
I bought it on Steam a few days ago and would have got it on GOG only, but i didnt see it until a day after purchase and since it is so cheap at the time of writing I bought it here too, for ONE, To support the devs TWO The game is fantastic for what i have seen... im stuck at the moment. but i have no issues only my own faults in game as the Combat is fast and fluid. GOG PLEASE LET US EDIT! as i want to update my review at a later date when I have played the game for longer and gained more experience with the product.
A somewhat in depth Management/Architect game, Contains: 3 tutorials, 3 campaigns and 6 challenges (hope there is more to come) Also released with a sandbox/free mode with various options and a Mod Workshop which i do not know if it is not available for GOG users or there is no mods yet as it is greyed out. Would be a 5 star but is a little clunky when building and the menus are not so pleasing to the eye, (I may not have found it) but it needs a camera rotation for putting wallpaper down and building. Plus i feel it needs a separate "checklist" in the tutorials for staff as i forgot to staff one room and the 2nd tutorial told me a room was incomplete... I kept replacing the room for about half an houre before i realised i did not have enough staff, i wish the game would have hinted what the problem was. In the 3rd tutorial (this could be a bug) rooms would not complete despite having enough room for equipment and all the equipment necessary AND STAFF day and night shift, I even went and placed prefabs and there was still a problem until i restarted the tutorial. but i have not run into any problems in the campaign except one: where for some reason i could not go up or down a floor/level, so overall i am happy with the game, anyway... this game is for people (IMO) who played theme hospital but want a serious tone to it now that we got older Also people who like Tycoon, Management, Strategy, and building. I dont know if i can edit this later but i would like to when i get more of a feel for the game in maybe a week or so as i feel with the few hours that i have spent in game cannot justify a real review.
Got the "Deluxe version" since i only had the base game on Steam and i really wasnt missing much, and neither will you. Even though some items are cool in my opinion. Its your money but i would say only get on a heavy sale.
I recommend this if you have a pad as with KB & mouse i find it a little clunky I have been a fan of WOTS series since i played WOTS3 on a friends PS3 and when i seen this on steam i had to give it a go... and i have Just got GOG version with DLC. Also I would say if your into doing re-runs of games then get this, as you will be gaining more items, katanas, spears, martial art skills, money, clothes ETC each time you play along with trying to figure out and gain the true ending of the game along with many more aspects such as your actions effect the world in your next play through. There are a few bugs here and there (mainly Audio) and not many graphical options but i care more that the game-play is on point. GOG version seems to have slightly better lighting and graphics but this could be me tripping. anyway i would say get the game and DLC on sale.
