I've been having issues getting into gaming lately. I play mostly rogue-likes and multiplayers, as I've grown bored of the same old stories and experiences. Not since Mass Effect have I played a 6+ hour game to completion... until I saw Shadowrun pop up on my feed. I was familiar with the original videogames as well as the campaigns, and I had heard there had been a new iteration of it.. but whoa I did not know what I was missing. If my experience sounds familiar, give this game a chance. The game looks, sounds and plays beautifully, and the art direction is nothing short of fantastic. This game, accomplishes what most AAA titles can't, and it does so with a small team, allowing the universe to be so cohesive it jumps at you from the very first minute you start the game. It is hard getting through half this game and remembering this universe is fictional and these characters don't exist - everything feels visceral and profound, and it's one of those rare games that stay with you even years after completing it. Can't wait to play the other modern iterations - if they're half as good as Dragonfall they'll be worth every second. Give this game a chance - you deserve to be transported into this universe.
