Set in a futuristic dystopian version of Australia and with the art style of Dave Gibbons, the creator of Watchmen, this game is one of the great adventure games of the 90's, having a fantastic storyline that can get pretty dark but at the same time having a unique sense of humor that helps alleviate the heavy themes that this game presents you with. A must play !
Imagine if the Monthy Python chaps decided to make a videogame .... That game would be Armed & Dangerous for sure ! This is one of the most hilarious games i have ever played , full off that quirky english humour. The story itself is also a parody on pop culture , referencing movies , comics and videogames. But the gameplay is also quite fun ! This is a third person shooter , but you get to use plenty of different and unique weapons , including a rifle that shoots land sharks , yep they will swim underground and pop up under a enemy swolling them whole !
So this game was released back in 1991 and is a top down shooter inspired in the Aliens franchise , despite not having any conection at all to that universe. Nevertheless the eeriness and suspense of the aliens franchise is pretty present in this game , as you navigate through the dark corridors of the space station. The gameplay itself is quite simple as you just need to shoot everything in sight while avoiding get hit by the aliens , but it can still be quite fun .
