Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition

impressevly bad

I had my introduction to the series with Fallout New Vegas. It was pretty buggy and you had to play with it some bit ot get it running but it had the best script and story among all RPG games. The dialogue felt naturall and you had to think about your choices because they mattered. Well, Fallout 4 is nothing like New Vegas. Everything about the gameplay got objectively better. The gunplay, new upgrade and power armor systems etc. But when it comes to story, dialogue, role playing, quests and characters......wow. I won't even get into the fact that the dialogue SYSTEM itself got castrated. In every quest in the game you can just click your answers at random and it will not matter, there is always just one outcome. And it might just be forgiveable if the quests were interesting at least but 80% of the quests in the game are 'go fetch' or 'go kill' something and come back. There is no use in exploration because there is nothing to explore. There are no interesting locations with small INTERSTING stories to explore, neither with some uniqe weapons or armors which would reward you for exploring. Expamle: you get a radio signal from vault 81 that requests backup. At arrival you see that some raiders are trying to break open the vault door. You kill them and when you try to open the door with your pip boy you hear a voice from the vault speaker that asks you where you got that pip boy from. You explain yourself and they ask you for 3 fusion cores. After that you are let inside to discover that this vault is still functioning and that people still live there just like 200 years ago when the bombs first fell.......that's it. There is nothing else to it. There are 6 nano 'quests' that go something like you go to the local doc and he wants to take a blood sample from you. You let him and congrats, you finished the quest. This game is also awfully done from the technical prespective. It constantly bugs and crashes. Only buy on a huge sale or better: just don't buy it.
