The title is literally all you need. TIE Fighter, or more specifically TIE Fighter Collectors CD-ROM, is arguably the best space-sim game ever made. I use "ever" here to cover the past AND future. I don't care what's been made since or what might be made in the future. Until we as a people can literally fly around in star fighters, this is the best experience we'll have. Freespace 2 is a very close second, of course. TIE Fighter features a deep, enthralling, LONG campaign with many, many missions and a fascinating story about destroying rebel scum and serving the Empire. The 1998 re-release edition included full voice overs for every single line of dialogue and fully-voiced briefings and de-briefings, along with re-engineered music. This is quite possibly the best Star War experience you'll have until we get, I don't know, holodecks or something. FULL SPEED TO KILOMAR!
