This game is from my childhood, 20+ years later I'm still playing it as it's a timeless classic. RTS games of the present simply do not compare to the fun I have on CFW. There is an issue where the game crashes upon booting up on Windows 8 & 10 devices, I have a solution to this problem which works flawlessly (credit goes to ArcticAsylum on YouTube): This is how to fix the game on Windows 8 & 10: Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG Galaxy\Games\Conquest Frontier Wars Right click the "conquest.ini" file and open in Notepad Scroll down to [System], and where it says IRenderPipeline = RendSoft change it to IRenderPipeline = Rend0 Save the file, exit & run CFW. To fix the resolution issue, open the "Options" menu in-game, go to Graphics, adjust the resolution to your screen size, exit the game & reboot! Hope this game survives future generations, I will surely see myself playing this game for endless years to come.
