Hangar 13 have done a good job bringing the original Mafia into the modern age however it is missing some of the charm from the original game. I was happy to see options for how strict the police are as removing the original's crime system would have been a shame. The shooting, at least with a controller, is a bit wonky but it's serviceable. Driving is also fairly janky, with a camera that likes to wobble and move around but you get used to it. Unless you suffer from motion sickness, then it may be a deal breaker. You'll know early enough in the game. All in all a solid experience but lacking in charm and polish.
