The game is a standard sequel to the first game, if you enjoyed it you would probably enjoy this game. Unlike the first game (which I would rate 5 stars) it makes some terrible decisions that really tarnish the relatively short runtime. Primarily this is the inability to swap weapons in the military scenes, instead replaced with a poorly implemented ammo system. The level design doesn't reasonably change to accomodate the significant impact this has on how the player runs through a mission. Second is the worse level design compared to the first game. Mostly it is as good as the first game, however some sections have incredibly punishing starts making it a slog to progress, mindlessly attempting the same push because you have no other option. Third is the weapon selection in the military missions. You choose at the start your weapon and have to hope that you picked the right one because otherwise you have to restart. These 3 problems, culminated in a horrible single entrance push into a corridor lined with glass walls that gunners can detect and shoot you through, with more gunners up ahead (again lining both sides). Because I chose the shotgun at the start of the mission (3 floors ago), I didnt have the fire rate to be able to kill the gunners and fight off the melee troops who swarm in, but also couldn't sneak past due to the guard placement. The closest I got to beating it was mindelessly attempting to bait enemies to my position to be killed with melee, however this was dependant on inconsitent enemy responces to gunfire.
