System Shock: Enhanced Edition

It finally works!

OK, I completed System Shock 2 twice. I enjoyed each time immensely, not because I was a huge fan of Looking Glass games, which I was, but because it was a great game. I rushed out and purchased System Shock in order to play the game that led to this amazing game that was System Shock 2. It wouldn't work. No matter what I did, it wouldn't work. Oh, I could watch the video fine, just couldn't play the game. Now, I can finally play this game. Thank you, GOG. btw...I still own the cd version, box and all, of this game...always held out hope of getting it to run. So far, I have been enjoying this a lot, if perhaps far to late in the game.

Sam & Max Hit the Road

Love it!! Grim Fandango next?

This game was in the LucasArts Archive cd collection, which along with Doom 2 and Myst, the first computer games I ever bought. I still have the disc but was unable to get it to run. An instant purchase for me. Next....Grim Fandango! Well, a guy can hope, can't he?

Bad Mojo Redux

Great game!

I still have the original disc of this game, but it is impossible to play without a virtual machine set up. o I have been hoping that this one would eventually show up...after all, Harvester did. This was an instant purchase for me. I cannot wait to dive into this little nightmare again. I must say that I think it would be fun in a purely cosmetic way to have a choice of bugs to play. Silverfish, millipedes, centipedes or earwigs spring to mind. I suspect that the developers were great Franz Kafka admirers, as am I, but as Kafka steadfastly refused to specifically identify the "vermin" that his protagonist transforms into, any one of the above could be possible. I like the centipede...

Harvester

I joined the Lodge years ago...

Bought this the day I read the review in PC Gamer (they gave it an 82). I still have it in the box form, but this version on GOG was a must buy for me, much like SS2 was. I envy those of you who have never played it and are about to try it out. The comparisons to a Lynch film, are as appropriate as they are numerous in the reviews of this game. Still, not for the squeamish or easily offended, and definitely not for kids (except perhaps those who are very mature for their age...you know the ones...like Steve's little brother or the paperboy)

Entomorph: Plague of the Darkfall

The music...the music...

I had this way back when it was first released. I enjoyed the game, but loved the music. The cd allowed you to play just the music on a regular cd player and I kept it around for that purpose long after I finished the game. Sentinal Returns had a soundtrack by John Carpenter that I also kept for the music long after the gameplay became old. May just have to buy this for the soundtrack alone.
