I liked the game except for two specific things. I liked the music, the art style, the flow when running, and at the start I liked the parkour. The story part was obvious but interesting to watch play out even if it was super linear. However, all that is marred by a few things: Only one ending, and while the ending was OK - it was, I'd have liked another option. I wasn't fully dissatisified.. but, could have down with a good/bad ending. The puzzles were okay but a few times you had be really, really exact when you did them - and the controls didn't really allow that. And this is my single, biggest, critique of the game: The controls. The parkour system was a great idea! It plays very well at times, but other times.. Ugh. The number of times I got stuck on a flipping wall because he just kept hopping back and forth to the sides of a fence, or would just drop off things into electric, or WOULDN'T drop until he was over electric, etc. I could have dealt with a lot more if the parkour system was less Ninja Gaiden and more Dying Light. The combat is also rough. I didn't realize that an enemy who drops bullets would just drop unlimited ones. So I held back on using the gun for most of the times, until the end. But the combat was slightly annoying because you aren't supposed to even fight. The number of mobs on screen is a constant - as you kill, another comes in. This takes out an entire spectrum of gameplay. The other big combat issue is melee. If you play this, don't even bother trying to melee. The character is winded after a few seconds - just realize that when you find an ammo source, you can shoot a gun and repick up the ammo to fully refill. Did I regret the game? No. Towards the end I was hating it because of the need to be super precise and the controls getting in the way of the game, but I enjoyed the story throughout. Rage towards that aside, I enjoyed the game and do recommend it, but.. it could have been better.
The game itself is okay, it's not bad, it's worth the $2.99. However, the game could have been much better with some better weapons and at least a couple more levels. After about an hour I had unlocked pretty much everything with weapons and perks making very little difference. The weapons were largely useless except for the AR and the shotgun, and the buffs almost seemed to make no difference. Enemy variation was also pretty lacking, looking like every enemy came from a different game.
