BIOMUTANT

Concept interessant, Ausführung... Meh.

Gothic

A Rough Gem of Immersion and Mood.

Lets be blunt and start with the "Dont`s": Dont buy this Game if one of the following are VERY important to you: Spectacular Graphics, SMooth COntrols, fantastic amounts of Monsters, "Fair" Area Design (eg only getting to dangerous stuff after Leveling etc) or easy mastery of "InGame Powers". Gothic is below average to bad in these., if you can`t live with that, dont buy it. Now that the negative Aspects are dealt with, on to the Good. And there is a lot of that. THe BEST part however is immersion. The World is alive (a thing Oblivion didn`t get half as well 5+ yerars later), people have jobs, talk near fires, sleep in huts (that youc an steal/Threaten away from them), communities seem more alive and real than in almost any other game. The Story, while not earthshaking or extremely innovative is good, some quests are great (trtuning into a bug to open a door). Next comes the Combat system. sure, its clunky, but its also fairly well balanced and precise, weapons handle differently and Magic is more powerful, yet harder to be really good in, than Swordswinging. By the way: While it is possible (Guard Carreer) to make a Character entirely without magic: Dont. It reduces the fun, and the advantages are few. Last but not least: Its a mature game. YOua re not led along safe paths (leave the path anytime in the early game, you die!), movement and specialization is almost entirely free, and simply FUN. If the latter points are enough to help you IGNORE instead of accept the flaws, add another star.

Jade Empire: Special Edition

A real Masterpiece

Stunning Setting, deep characters, smooth (although somewhat simple) Gameplay, wonderfully executed philosophy and the best Story-twist I have ever seen. Even if you are not a "Fan" of eastern Style or Kung Fu, for that alone it is worth playing. IF you are a Fan: why haven`t you played it already? If it was deeper gameplaywise and regarding character developement I would name it Best RPG ever. The way it is its "Only" Top 3 material.

Two Worlds Epic Edition

A Gem if you like freeworldHack/Slash

Let me state 3 "warnings" first: Do NOT expect to be cuddled/led by hand like in many other "new Style" RPGalikes. Its deadly to VERY deadly early on. You WILL die a lot. Second: do not expect the deepness of interaction (party or otherwise) or Athmosphere of certain Bioware(/Obsidian/etc titles. Thirdly: do not expect the World-Deepness of Games like Morrowind (Books, Myths etc). If these things are central for you, stay away. The only real "Con" imo are the voice acting and the clunky (but unless you are a console player, and hence do not know how to change them^^) controls. Now to the "Pros": Content is the most obvious. The world is VERY large, there are tons of quests and enemies, and more to do. Sound is the second. Yes the voice acting varies between mediocre and bad (but then so did oblivions) but the soun dtrack is among the "Great Ones" out there, and the rest of the Game sounds well too (that is in my opinion the reason why the voices "jump" out so much). Free Character developement is the third. You can do and be ANYTHING. From 2 swords wielding derwish over healing and Shield+Sword wielding Knight to full scale Mage and everything in between. And the great part is: it all works! "Real" Developement is the 4th: You start weak, you become powerful. REALLY powerful (late Game Characters for example kill 6 Enemeis to then revive 3 of them to fight FOR them. Permanently!) it makes the best "Puny to Badass" Transition I have seen in recent years.
