Baldur's Gate is an extremely addicting game. Gameplay itself is very slow, but if you're someone who likes to be thorough, then this is the cream of the crop! If you're used to playing other games, this may come as a shock because others are very limited in what you can do. Here though, it seems every choice you make has an impact on your future outcome. You can truly choose to be "Lawful Good', 'Chaotic Evil', or somewhere in-between and your actions will impact group members and/or future group members. The impact can be as severe as them leaving or even attacking you or in the complete reverse and them falling head over heals in love. Combat is tricky and takes a lot of planning. I, myself, prefer the Fighter/Warlock setup because you can have upwards 7 or so attacks per round. However, you can truly play pretty much anything you want. Fights can be planned out and doesn't just have to be straight forward like in pretty much every other game. You can get really creative, such as pouring oil on the ground, near spikes, then shoving your enemy into the spikes and lighting the oil on fire. Anyway, it's well worth the money for me and I'm quite happy playing the game!
