Kingdom Come: Deliverance Royal Edition

An inventive, buggy and flawed title.

I'm writing this review in 2020, I didn't finished the game, I got like 20 hrs. or so, but enough to see that this game is just not worth anyone's time. For the sake of being "realistic" it strips away the fun factor, not seeing the point of this since it's a game and by definition, games are supposed to entertain and give the user a sense of escapism, this provides neither. I will admit that this review is a petty one, since I've never been interested in sharing my thoughts in any other installments, this one had me bumping my head with unfair situations and I will state this, the combat is fun, I enjoyed the combat, too buggy for it's own sake but it is enjoyable and can be "mastered" (excepting the parts in which you get ganged and you basically must fend attacks that you will most likely not see from an enemy that is scurrying around you and out of your line of sight, which is most times, there goes the only fun factor of this game) I don't care how "gud" you are, there will be frustration with this game at some point, and I'm not talking about Dark Souls frustration, because even when Dark Souls, a title that many people call "the most difficult games", can be infiurating, it's in no way as unpolished, buggy and unfair as this game is, it's a different kind of frustration, and when you're done with an encounter against a mob of npcs, you will not feel victorius, you'll have to check your inventory to see which equipment is bloody, dirty, damaged and repair it, because if you don't, you will most likely die in the next battle, not to mention you'll loose reputation for being a dirty peasant. I'll say this last and most likely you'll know what it's about, the saving schnapps is just a feature that makes me exclaim "what were they thinking?!". However, I do must say the world, the setting and overall the game was done with passion, a lot of research and overall breathtaking, if medieval settings are your thing, go for it, give it a try.
