It is different than the previous games in the series, but it is still fun.

As a kid, I played Soul Reaver and Legacy of Kain: Defiance. I didn't know about the origin of the games back then. I must say, Blood Omen has a lot of things that most modern games lack. Storytelling and character abilities are some of those things.
