So this version of this game is terrible on modern machines. It is not optimised and is glitchy to nearly unplayable. I mean that even on the menu screen you cannot do anything due to a glitch in the spinning icons, you can only force quit. So the workaround is this, you need to install and download this fix. Not only does it fix the low-quality graphic issue, it also plays the cutscenes and you can map your controls.
