It's a very very EPIC game. 80 hours of play, and still nowhere near end. Can you play it again? I don't know. Most notable positive things: - STORY. It's vast and awesome. - Translation tp major languages in fantasy style with modern slang. - Graphics are modern for isometric. - Companions are colorful, each with it's own story. Negative things I've encountered after 80 hours of play: - Loadings. loadings everywhere. And they are quite slow. - possible spoiler, beware. There is a certain changing city that changes and it's annoying as hell, because you cannot move where you want and need to WAIT for city to change again. It slows moving, and you cannot actually understand what is where. There is also tons of bugs with it, when you exit the building and appear in space. - FPS is random. From 60+ to 5-6. Can drop everywhere and without reason. - Overwhelming DnD settings? I'm used to lots of spells, but here you get so much of abilities, it's hard to understand what is for what. And you get them all the time. - Enemies saving throws are too much for normal game. It feels like all control spells are useless on rare+ mobs. - Mobs are getting overpowered. A tanky paladin with shield in defensive stance gets by a mob that don't miss at all with all 7!! attacks? And imaging 2-3 of them. - the whole crusade thing feels overpacked. But overall it's a tremendous game. Worth the money and more.
Awesome game. I'd recommend it to any fan of tactical combat. Here are some thoughts. (SPOILERS AHEAD!) Pros: - Mystic black/White/Red themes deliver you to the overall atmosphere. Soundtrack adds to it. - Interesting bosses, each with his own unique mechanics and abilities. - Shared feelings with the Mother. I really cared for every daughter. Names, traits and skills make them unique and remembered. Especially on higher levels. - Daughters actually vary. I was impressed with traits list and facial / hair styles. Still get new ones. - Unique evolving enemies. Enemies upgrade and add in variety. They also change at slow pace that lets you adapt. - Tactics does all. I was able to defeat the Maiden with 2 daughters (stupid me didn't select others), carefully planning every step and predicting damage. Yeah the Scythedances did help a lot ) Cons: - Daughters without traits (like +30% damage) and memories (like +60% skill damage) are weak. I had 2 bladedancer daughters. With same set of skills and memories. But Claire had 10 more traits from previous plays (hitting 7000+) and Prudence with zero traits, was almost useless with (2000 dmg). - Missions while being repetative, offer challenges, and sometimes on higher level are quite weird. I found out ritual mission are very easy, but escort soul - impossible later in the game, because you are being overwhelmed instantly and soul can be one-shotted. - Skills that I used most in the game, were almost useless for last boss, whereas a second set was OP. - The Scythedances lvl 15 skill that damages all targets on map (with delay memory) + Soulslinger (+100% damage to all allies, with initiative boos) are way overpowered. You just stay and shot everyone. - AI is a bit predictive and uses it's AP to the limit, which gives you way to much space for maneuvers. - Sadly I found out there isn't any replayability. Only unless you want more challenge. But it's very punishing. Overall the game a blast of fresh air.
