For as long as I've been a fan of the JA series, I've known of this, and it had always been listed out there on fan forums as a free mod. It never seemed like my cup of tea to begin with, and seeing this on the store now makes me think of the oft bemoaned game spoken only in whispers that got made commercially under the same circumstances, Master of Orion 3. I'd give this game 0 stars if I could. Save your money, it's not a sequel, and it's not official.
While a good game, this one was terribly unfinished upon release, and a lot of the quests were cut. I don't know if fan modding ever managed to complete all the cut content, but compared to KotOR 1, this was a shadow of its former self. I loved the first game to death, so it disappointed me that its sequel was sold off to be made by another company which failed to live up. At least most of the bugs from the first game were fixed, but for me that alone just wasn't enough to overcome this game's many flaws. The story just felt shallower than before and the game is far shorter. In spite of that fact, I never ended up seeing it through to the end before I got tired of this one and put it back on the shelf. Could be a stellar game if it is possible to play it with the lost content restored—be sure to look into mods or fan patches if you intend to purchase!
