Let's start from the fact that if you love the style of UnEpic_Fran, you will love this GHOST 1.0 too! For the rest it is a bit Metroidvania, a bit Shooter and a bit Adventure, not perfect but fun and immersive. The thing that I found most unbalanced is the difficulty system that goes (in some places) from normal to tragically difficult. I'll just give an example when talking about the first Boss who, in fact, will turn out to be the most difficult of the entire game! I recommend playing GHOST 1.0, especially if you are a fan of retro gaming.
RUINER is a video game that reminded me of the old CHAOS ENGINE (1993) and SKELETON KREW (1994), all isometric shooters with adventure components. On the artistic front, RUINER shines with a light of its own, managing to convey a strong and precise sense of CYBERPUNK, through a stylistically effective staging. If you want to play something beautiful and immersive, challenging but not impossible, choose RUINER and you will not regret it!
Obviously, let's talk about the title that has given new vigor to the videogame BATMAN as much as NOLAN's BATMAN to the cinema. Asylum still remains the craziest chapter of the series, more horror through a tight and over the top story. Then having the updated GOG version in the collection does the rest! I'm batman!
Silent Hill 4 sarebbe dovuto essere il Silent Hill del rinnovo, fallendo miseramente il tentativo. Capiamoci, non parliamo di un brutto gioco horror, anzi, gli estimatori del genere troveranno pane per i loro denti, ma purtroppo non è un Silent Hill. Volendo freddamente fare una scaletta sulle pecche varie, potremmo cominciare col dire DOV’E’ SILENT HILL? Il gioco di fatto non è ambientato nella famosa cittadina, bensì in un'altra che dista un’ora di distanza. Dov’è la nebbia? E la torcia? E la radio? Ecco, volendo continuare troveremmo altri mille appigli contro cui scagliarci per dire quanto questo non sia un Silent Hill canonico, ma forse in tanti proprio questo volevano, una sterzata d’aria fresca che però alla fine risulta come un tornado che spazza via tutto quello che di significativo ha la saga. Resta comunque un buon horror games che ammicca anche alla filmografia Jappo style che tanto spopolava nel periodo d’uscita del titolo, come The Ring e THE Grunge. Su i7 e Win 10 ha funzionato tutto a meraviglia, GOG RULEZ!
Alan Wake è un survival horror psicologico, che pone le fondamenta sulla trama più che nel gameplay vero e proprio. Quest'ultimo non è certamente da buttare, ma mostra il fianco a una ripetitività troppo marcata e solo dopo poche ore di gioco. Inutile sottolineare quanto sia carico di richiami a capolavori del passato come SilentHill 2, dove comunque quest'ultimo gli resta un gradino sopra. Il modo di raccontare un horror in senso stretto, resta di mestiere nipponico anche se, il titolo Remedy, tenta in ogni modo di replicarne le gesta. Avvincente sì, ma nemmeno quanto il primo MaxPayne, AlanWake vive su di una bilancia molto delicata, in bilico proprio come il suo racconto, forzatamente criptico... Insomma, il gioco si lascia giocare e la trama vi saprà catturare, ma occhio alla noia e al fatto che, alla fin fine, nemmeno la trama giunge chissà dove... A buon intenditor poche parole...
