It really is an incredible game at this point. Visually, there's few games that match it. Especially with path tracing, but even the ray tracing looks great, heck, even the rasterized/standard version is fantastic. It runs well. The multi-frame gen is amazing too, very impressed. Gameplay is awesome. The most impressive city you'll find in a game. So many nooks and crannies to explore. Every district has it's own flavor. It has a mass transport system you can fast travel with or just sit back and take in the views. Fight are utterly insane. So many options, varieties of attack etc. I usually just settle for plain old guns, which there are 3 main types and 100's to choose from. Probably too many, if I'm being honest. Same with cars, plenty to own, steal and drive now. Still no flying cars though, somehow. There's a mod for it. Sound is great on all front. Voice acting is top 5 of all time. All of the music, including the radio channels, are made for this game. That was a good choice, as you truly feel in the future where you've never heard a song before. The story is best in the business. Just amazing. Gripping. Characters with personlaity without being cliche, with good growth. Couple good love interests, many, many great quests. Every main mission is a banger. Most of the main side quests are great, then there's your gigs and NCPD jobs etc. Those mostly don't have story attached of any substance. Just your Ubisoft open world stuff. Which is fine. They've done so much work to this game, it's commendable. I remember the state it was in day one, even on PC, it was not good. So many missing features, QOL tweaks, so many bad decisions from being rushed out the door. CDPR will never regain my trust and faith again. But, they did do right by the community. Though, that is the bare minimum of acceptable, in my view. The DLC is kickass too. Seriously, one of the best spy-thriller flicks I've even played/watched. A lot of good twists and turns, amazing characters etc

I don't know. The controls are just so atrocious, I can't really get into it. Maybe if I gave it more of a chance I would get a feel for it. But meh. It's a bit too generic for my taste. This developer has much better games. I'd pass on this one. Then again, on sale it's less than a dollar. You can't even get a pack of gum for that anymore.

Game runs good, looks great and is totally Star Wars. Well, okay, so it's Phantom Menance, worst Star Wars film out there but at least it forcuses on the best part of the worst movie... right? This is worth picking up if it's on sale. Few issues, the UI for upgrading your pod is pretty annoying and cumbersome, couldn't get a controller to work, but my main and only real issue is how darn easy the game is. I have completed one race on every track. Not ONCE did I feel like I was actually racing anyone. And I was ramming walls, blowing up multiple times etc. A few maps I was even lapping AI opponents. Just way, way too easy. No challenge whatsoever

This is probably the best game (out of 10-15) early access games I've owned/invested in. Consistent monthly updates for literally 3 years. I've enjoyed their monthly Youtube "UPDATE Videos" released where the two developers show off all the new features of the month almost as much as the game. The last 8-9 months or so have surged with some of the biggest new features added. Death row, gangs, random events. etc. The game also features Steam Workshop with an active community with great game changing mods like an entire Star Wars re-skin and re-premise, recreations like Alcatraz and Pelican Bay, items/objects to be placed in the prison etc. The game is a bundle of mechanics seamlessly working together to create the illusion of a real prison. Some systems are fairly easy to see how they work, the cause and effect of decisions, the root of your issues. Others require a little thinking. For example, don't hire enough cooks? Well you're not going to be able to cook enough meals for your prisoners during the say, 2 hours you've assigned to them to eat. Possibly you've just assigned too tough of security measures bottlenecking prisoners. Causing a guard needing to constantly be diverted to open up locked doors to let prisoners through. Maybe you have lax security, enough cooks but not enough cookers. Maybe the problem is up the supply chain. It's taking too long to get the food material (everything in the game must come in through a delivery truck, nothing "spawns" in this world out of thin air) from your delivery zone outside the gate to the kitchen store room. Maybe you don't have enough room to store the food before cooking it. The possibilities are endless. The feeling of "I am GOD in this prison" is undeniable. Buy it. Now. I'm confident this game has at least $20 worth of content and replayability for anyone semi-interested in the genre.Best way to see if this game is for you is to watch the monthly Alpha vids: https://www.youtube.com/user/IVSoftware

I really want to play this game. But unfortuantly it won't work on Windows 7. I don't have an older computer with an older operating system. I've tried a few tutorials to get game working with Dosbox. But to no avail. If anyone has any tips please post a review. It's so heart breaking to read these reviews and click "play" and have audio play but no video. Just a black screen. =(
