The Surge

Yes, indeed. It's NOT Lothric

The game is a well made sci-fi souls-like story driven by an obscure plot that player will (or not) figure when exploring the levels, killing and beeing killed (A LOT by the way) in a constant search for scrap to build better equipment and keep the fight in a "safe" level. . The scenario remember a bit of Alien movies, since it's what comes to mind of almost all people when plot spin around of futuristic space stories and this kind of thing: It's dark, metalic, scrumbled, full of manacing corridors and corners where the bad robots can jump and surprise you any time. Theresn't onl one big map to explore, but the fun part is you don't have only one way to go from point A to point B on each of them and travel between them. It's up to you stop and find the way to the next boss that best fit you. Fight against the enemies is pretty fine too! Most of the time you will be just locking your aim into their weakest spots, atacking and avoinding beeing hit no matter if in a one on one, long range or multiple enemies battle, but some times you will need to focus on the armored spots and hit it again and again unrelentlessly to drop something. It could be the old "farm and grind" mechanic, but is used in a more clever way. Boss fightes otherwise are just kill or be killed. If you don't study their patterns and figure how to do some damage to them, you probabbly will die. Theres that better rewards if you finish'em in a specific way, but i personaly don't had bothered with it, just faced the fights and go my way until the end. Anyway... The game isn't so big, couldn't be the best between the genre and have some issues for more hardcore or not so much players, but its fine, with sufficient fun to defy you and keep you playing for a time if you don't play it just thinking all Dark Souls thing, then just play and took your own opinions!

Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales

Simply Amazing!

The game has that vibe of previous Witcher games, with dark and dirty but yet beautifull scenarios that lloks like a live comic book running in front of your eyes. The sound is surprisingly good and has very charming background songs playing just in the right tone following the action on screen and - for what i could see - theres LOTS of story on every corner to flavor much more the adventure. It mix perfectly parts of exploration and management with something like card game battles using some Gwent mechanics, where you use your deck as your army to overhelm the enemies and keep going through until the end of the game. If you like medieval tales and/or "The Witcher" related content, you absolutely should try this fantastic game!

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

More than a game! :D

Even with a hardware below the minimum specs (You can read "god damn! how can it run this?"), i give this a shot. "The Witcher" is a greatest serie, with a very addicting story line and lots of content to maintain us following Geralt for a long LONG time. Wild Hunt is a Master Piece between the master pieces in this generation. Even i, with only 6GB of RAM in my i5 3317U and Intel HD 4k, running it at ~20 FPS in a forced 640x480 resolution can say this. The "magic" added by efforts of CDPRed is there, and isn't a child play (Or even a game play)... I really could feel immerse in the White Wolf adventures on Northern Realms. It's so real and free that i almost loose myself when i'm playing. I only can say THANK YOU to the developers for bringing this wonderful experience to us.
