Not just a bad game, a toxic one too

My original review of this game got deleted, something iv never experienced once before on this site, so I will be writing down exactly why this game, that used tax money to be funded, is not a good game and is very toxic to its core. Art style: This game seems to be going for a cell shaded like art style. Think of games like XIII and Cel Damage. This may be the only positive thing about this game because its not that bad, but compared to the other 2 games I just mentioned it still looks off to me. It also doesn't help that the characters are just not that pleasant to look at too. Not a fan of the character design for anyone. Music: Pretty dull and forgettable. Background music/ambience is just kinda there and doesn't really catch your attention at all while playing the game. The music that comes from the mini-games are also pretty dull and not good too. Maybe this is someones style of music, its not mine. Characters: This is the big one because I can say with confidence that pretty much every character is an annoying piece of garbage in some way. Person doesn't agree with you in game? THEY must be the bad ones! This is something you have to see to believe but yes, these characters are downright evil and if your anything like me, if you hate the main characters in a game you just don't care about their goal. Gameplay: Clunky, is the best way to put it. Hitting enemys feels off, the hit boxes feel off, the powers you get like "PUSH" dont feel like they have a big oomph to them when they should. People have compared it to Dark Souls and while that is accurate, I would compare it more to Dark Souls 2 if Dark Souls 2's combat was even clunkier and weird. Its just not fun at all. There is also things like being able to cancel people, bully people, ect. You have seen it all already and yes, its absolutely disgusting and makes you hate the main characters more. Overall: This is a mistake of a game that is toxic and again, used tax payers money to fund. Avoid this.

Tomb Raider I-III Remastered Starring Lara Croft

An amazing remaster.

I love the classic TR games and played them both on PS1 and PC. This remaster is easily one of the better remasters I have played in a while. After coming off the remasters Sega made for Sonic Colors and Origins, its amazing to get a remaster with a team that clearly cares. There are still a few graphical issues but they are so minor and have only happened a few times for me. Besides that its the same classic games that you know and love from the PS1 or PC.

If you wanna play this game, read this.

As of writing this I just beat this game and I think its a good game with a lot of positive aspects to it like music, visuals, gameplay, and exploration. Sadly, this game has A LOT of issues with it that prevent it from being able to be played comfortably. The biggest problem with Version 1.2 of the game is the unacceptable loading times for any area thats outside. 1 min loading times long. You also can get stuck in walls and combat has you stagger a lot when you get hit making 1v2 or more fights frustrating. The 1.7 patch fixes a lot but brokes a lot more like HP regeneration being too high and making some enemies near unkillable. You also have a lot of softlock potential in this game and I will list 2 major ones right now: Do not kill the rebels in front of Kumra (Talk to the guy to the left of the gate more then once and go though all his dialogue to get in) and don’t provoke the pirates in the hideout to the west of Fort Mogal. Doing these 2 things seems to softlock your game forever. You should also keep at least 1 of each thing in your inventory. Find a weird skull? DONT SELL IT YOU MIGHT NEED IT. I wish the game marked key items for this reason. Now heres how I recommend playing this game: Download Patch 1.7 and an application to limit the framerate. I used RivaTuner. In the root folder you can find config.exe and can checkmark windowed mode. This will let you tab out to change FPS on the fly so you can put it to unlimited for exploring and back to 60 for when an enemy wont die and you know its the HP regeneration bug. Go fullscreen for dark areas. Dump points into two handed/painspots/clubbing and artifact but do artifact last (max stats is 200) and follow the story route that has you do missions for both Hiss and Dolin Grog/Irfan Orkan until you get the mission from Irfan that makes you end the Hiss missions (you will know when you see it). You may wanna bring some late game partners with you that start off at pretty high levels if you find them.
