The original Gex is one of the best 2D platformers, but there are some issues with this port, especially with this re-release. First off, it opens with a little pop-up launcher. If you're playing with a controller, you're gonna have to use your keyboard or mouse to use the pop-up. The game itself plays perfectly fine with a controller, even better after installing PatchGEX, but you can't pause the game with the start button. You have to press the Alt key to pause, and to unpause it, you have to uncheck pause on the tab on top. All this stuff was fine when it came out back then, but it's an issue for modern PCs and it's an issue for me personally since I like playing my PC games on my TV and on Moonlight+Sunshine as well as Steam Big Picture Mode. Speaking of Big Picture Mode, I added this as a non-Steam game and test in Big Picture Mode. After I clicked Play, the game switches back to the Big Picture menu while the game is still playing. Very weird. It doesn't work properly in Big Picture Mode.
