I only played the game for an hour and could see the political agenda there, on the first case a woman was murdered in a house robbery, you get to interrogate the robber and her husband, of course the husband is guilty, there's no suspense whatsoever. But as you interrogate the husband he reveals to you, a police officer and interrogator, that he is part of an online group called "The Liberation Front", this is not a joke, they meet in forums and they're ready to enact a revolution and do vigilante justice! The level of cringe was too much for me, clearly this game was made by some marxist trying to portray this reality where evil right-wingers white men hunt down vulnerable minorities and such. If you are a leftist then this game may be for you, but if you're like me and are just tired of politics in entertainment I would recommend to stay away from this game.
The game is a text-based adventure, like those old-school 80's games where you type "go to" and "look around" with no visuals. The game tries to innovate with some good ambiance and some more stuff to do, but at it's core it is a text-based adventure game composed of four different stories. The game has two problems, the biggest one is that it's confusing, let me give you an example, in the first story you come to your old family's house, in a note your father says you need to turn on the generator at the back of the house to have light, so you exit the car and the game gives you two options, the front door or the yard on the side of the house, you choose the yard and from that you expect to move to the back of the house. But when you try the game sends you to the front of the house, you can't go the back of the house, the game just won't let you, after wandering around I decide to go to the yard and "look around" and I find the generator, it wasn't at the back of the house but in the yard next to the house, it may sound silly, but this type of stuff happens throughout the game, it's impossible to play it without a walkthrough, because of how confusing the game is. Another example is on the third story where you're supposed to read some instructions to type some codes into a computer, but the instructions are impossible to read because the text is too small written in a font where I can't see the difference between y and g, I get that's realistic, but this is style over function. I gave up when I had to listen to morse code, I was getting a headache from playing it, it's just a frustrating experience. The other problem is that the stories feel incomplete and have unsatisfying conclusions to them, even for short stories. Overall I would not recommend this game to anyone, it has good ideas, but it's awful execution makes it frustrating rather than intriguing, I lasted for 2 hours and couldn't even finish it.
The main problem with the game is it's difficulty, I played the game for 13 hours, got to the 7th out 13 missions, I was at the end of the mission, had been playing it for over 2 hours, when I was about to leave the area and the game spawned extra soldiers right at the exit area, where there were already some enemies that I left alive because there was no reason to kill them, you're not supposed to kill every guard necessarily, you're even discouraged by how punishing the game is. That left me in a situation where I had 14 guards in a small area each looking at each other, and only three characters to use, couldn't kill any of them without warning at least a few others, after a long time I just found impossible to continue. The game wasn't fun anymore, just frustrating, there are some charming characters and some good japanese voice acting and an interesting setting, but the difficulty make it frustrating instead of fun, I play games to have fun, not just for the challenge. I don't have a problem with challenging games, I enjoyed the old Resident Evil games and Resident Evil 4, even on professional, the Ninja Gaiden games, System Shock 2, the Kotor games and others, but this is just hard, not challenging. I would recommend this game to people that are fans of the genre and fans of hard games, like the souls or x-com games, for everyone else I would say it's a pass, if you play games for fun this is not for you.
