Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition

Great game-GOG version is a chore to mod

Great game, but, until the GOG version supports Creation Club contents it'll be harder to mod than needs be. It took me an entire three day weekend to install the base section of The Midnight Ride modlist. Many of the current mods in TMR didn't work with version 1.10.163 (GOG). I had to hunt down archives of several mod versions that had been taken down from Nexus. I tested after each mod install. And, even after that, there were many CTDs and many adjustments to make. I got the game running, but - no way am I doing this again. Modlists and collections support the Next Gen Update (1.10.984). You need it, even if they have you downgrade to 1.10.163. And NONE of the current Wabbajack lists support the GOG Version. Modders have chosen the Steam version, and I can't blame them. They're volunteers, giving of their own time and energy. As for me, I don't have the drive I did when playing Skyrim. Now, I just want to play the game. Fallout 4 is a great game, but, I'm sorry to say, I'm deducting a star because I'll be buying the Steam version before I continue with the GOG version. That's something I've never said before.
