You can create your own spells, you can force npc to faint during cutscenes, you can ride potions by simple physically jumping on it and pull, you can finish it in under 10 minutes or forget about the main storyline for 100 hours. Or you can just listen to the npcs complaining about fines for stealing, while they are stealing. Oblivion has a chaotic aura that will never be matched again. To me, it's the best Elder Scrolls
Amazing and faithful remake without the clunky controls of the 90s. Top notch visual and creepy ambience. Being this faithful means it doesn't go easy on newcomers since you don't have a list of mission and side mission, so you have to remember what you have to do. And if you miss some key audio logs you are basically left without a clue on what to do to progress. Take it slow and explore. If you have the patience it's gonna be a great game
PROS: The art style is very inspired, very dark and gritty. The characters are well written and the story feels much more dynamical than the average pont'n'click adventure. I also liked the very light inventory (the protagonist himself says he doesn't want to carry too much stuff around, unlike in some Lucasarts adventures, where you can waste a lot of time trying to figure out what you have to use in an overpacked inventory). CONS: I don't understand why the start menu has to move so much (I have to say that there is very little to set up, so you won't spend much time in the menu). Speaking of setup, no options for 4K resolution (minor flaw, I know, but still...) The puzzles are quite simple (helps to keep the story going, but it's not what you expect from a point'n'click adventure) and the english translation is not perfect Definetly a great game that's worth your time and money
The story has never been the main focus in the Hitman series, but in this one they tried to deliver a good story, so you can feel attached to 47. IO Interactive did a "meh" job. Plot holes, bad decisions and some "never explained before" stuff will make you say quite often: "WTF?" The gameplay though is pretty good (not excellent, but good). They get rid of all the clunky animations and refined a lot of stuff, making it a pretty solid stealth game. The greatest flaw of this game is that it's too cinematic, stepping away from the older games where preparation was essential and planning was required. Your brain won't be much challenged by this game (unlike in the previous ones). In the end: a good stealth game, a mediocre Hitman
Clunky controls, outdated graphics and physics, animal and men slaughter, repetitive metal soundtrack( but hey, they're the Iron Maiden!), almost impossible missions, vehicles that sometimes don't even fit the road (I'm looking at you "Deathcruiser", "Supastuka" and "Big Dump"!) and more gore you can imagine. And yet, it still has flaws! IGN 10/10
